Oh Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field was wonderfully written. I loved her two main protagonists and their relation to the original characters. The book made me want to laugh and cry just like the original. You could see the relation easily, and you could also start to make assumptions about certain characters.   This is a book written by Jane Austen, a very famous British author. She wrote famous books like ”Sense and Sensibility” and ”Emma” (and of course ”Pride and Prejudice”). There has been made movies about her books and they are still very popular (just like her books).

Originally published as Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field this was the very first modern adaptation of Pride and Prejudice I read. I rather liked the book at the time and gave it 4 stars, but on re-reading it for the 2nd time, I had to downgrade/5. Pride, Prejudice, and Jasmin Field was a bit disappointing.

I came into it expecting a light-hearted load of laughs but instead found myself reading Pride and Prejudice, the stale edition. While the story is meant to be derivative of Pride and Prejudice, the author took it too literally.

There were also the matters of Wickham and body image/5(71). Pride, Prejudice, and Jasmin Field was a bit disappointing. I came into it expecting a light-hearted load of laughs but instead found myself reading Pride and Prejudice, the stale edition.

Ironically, the characters in Nathan's first book, Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field, were starring in a play version of Pride & Prejudice that benefitted breast cancer research. The book was written prior to Nathan knowing about her own future diagnosis with the disease.

Her book The Nanny was listed on the Top Ten of The Sunday Times in Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field by Melissa Nathan. An updated version of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'. This city girl novel stands on its own but it's even more fun if you read the original too.

You can. When journalist Jasmin Field lands the coveted role of Elizabeth Bennet in a one-off fundraising adaptation of Pride and Prejudice she discovers that the play's director, Hollywood heart-throb Harry Noble, is every bit as obnoxious as she could have hoped.

Which means a /5(22). This book will irresistibly remind its readers of Jane Austen’s immortal Pride and similarity between these two books only begins with the title, spilling over to a plot that basically revolves around a group of people putting together a play of P&P.

When journalist Jasmin Field goes to audition for this play along with her sister and her best friend, she’s not serious about. Compare Melissa Nathan, Pride, Prejudice & Jasmin Field with other General Romance Books book reviews online at Review Centre. This book is quite closely based on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, practically mirroring it in some situations, as well as adding in a play that is being performed - an adaption of Pride and isn’t really a strong plot in this book, because a lot of the characters and the situations are twisted around so as to fit into Pride and Prejudice but in a more modern way.
